The RG Evangelion Unit-01 Test Type features translucent armour panels and optional restraining bolt parts, letting you display Unit-01 in its active combat or restrained standby configuration as seen throughout the NGE series.
This kit is designed for intermediate builders. The RG inner frame provides a fully articulated skeleton beneath the colour-separated purple and green armour panels, supporting everything from Unit-01's berserker combat poses to its restrained standby configuration. Snap-fit assembly throughout means no glue is required, and the purple and green colour separation is achieved through moulding without painting. The kit is also compatible with the separately sold RG Evangelion Scale Weapon Set for an expanded arsenal display.

Builder Notes
This is a rewarding build and one of the better non-Gundam entries in the RG lineup. The parts run slightly larger than a typical RG kit, which makes nub removal more manageable. A few things worth knowing before you start.
The arm connections are the most common frustration. The elbow joint can sit loosely due to the multi-colour moulded construction, and the arm can detach from under the bicep during posing. If joints become too loose, apply a thin layer of plastic cement to the peg and allow it to set completely before reassembling. A second layer can be added if needed. Nail polish works as an alternative using the same method.
The leg attachment to the waist pops out with handling and has no locking mechanism. A fixed display pose reduces this significantly.
The hand tabs that allow wrist rotation will wear quickly if the hand is turned past its natural range. Rotate carefully and work within the joint's comfort zone rather than forcing it.
The jaw is articulated but does not hold a closed position on its own. Worth accounting for when choosing a display pose.
The torso assembly, particularly the spine through to the hips, is the most involved section of the build. Take your time here and follow the instructions closely before moving on.
