Bandai BB 00 QAN[T]
Setsuna's 00 QAN[T] at SD size, with clear green parts
This is BB Senshi No. 364, the GNT-0000 00 QAN[T] from the film Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A wakening of the Trailblazer, piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei. Bandai released it in Japan in December 2010. It is the SD take on the Quanta, with clear green lens parts, a GN Sword V that changes between sword and rifle, and a sparkle green display base in the box.
Build difficulty
Skill Level 2. Bandai rates it for ages 8 and up, and the assembly uses no glue. It comes with four runners and one sticker sheet. One Japanese reviewer finished it in 30 to 40 minutes and noted the part count is a little higher than a typical SD kit. Most of the care goes into the stickers, because several small colour areas are stickers rather than moulded plastic.
Technical highlights
- Clear green parts for the head and chest lenses, the GN Sword V blade and the GN Sword Bits, per Bandai and one Japanese review.
- A removable GN Drive in the torso, moulded as one clear green part with a silver sticker. It can be pulled out and connected to the GN Shield for the direct twin drive look.
- GN Shield on a ball joint, so it rotates, with an opening twin drive gimmick.
- GN Sword V changes between sword and rifle mode by tilting the grip, and combines with the Sword Bits into a Buster Sword.
- Hip rotation gimmick and a ball-jointed foot part for better ground contact, per two Japanese reviews.
- Fine detail where you would not expect it at this size, including "00Q" moulded into the antenna and the clear chest part.
What makes this kit special
-
Lots of clear parts: unusual for an SD kit, and it gives the Quanta its GN particle look straight out of the box.
-
Buster Sword mode: the sword and bits combine into one oversized blade, as in the film.
-
Display base included: the sparkle green stand suits the GN particle theme and holds flying poses.
-
Parts that work with other BB Senshi kits: Bandai says the weapon parts also play with the BB Senshi Exia and Double O Raiser kits, sold separately.
-
Original BB Senshi settings: support mecha parts that came with the SD Exia Repair kit can build a giant weapon, and it combines with the Double O Raiser, per one Japanese review.

What to watch for
Drawing on three Japanese-language builder reviews. Treat the single-reviewer points as notes rather than confirmed faults:
- Stickers do a lot of the colour work. Reviewers note sticker areas on the shoulder armour, the blue on the Sword Bits and the chest, and one found the yellow chest stickers sit over holes and do not lay cleanly, suggesting paint for those spots.
- The arms and legs reuse parts from the existing SD Double O kit, so one reviewer found the range of movement stiff and dynamic poses hard to get.
- The GN Shield joint is plastic on plastic, so one reviewer expects it to loosen if you swing it a lot.
- The Buster Sword and the rifle mode are heavy and can fall or snap if posed carelessly, per one reviewer. Another noted the rifle tip cannot be opened.
- One reviewer noted a little hollowing on the soles of the feet, but not the heavy hollowing seen on newer SD EX-Standard kits.
The reviews are positive on the clear parts, the colour separation for an SD kit and the combination gimmicks.
Build notes
No glue. Paint and panel lining are optional extras, and one reviewer recommends paint for the chest stickers. Rated 8 and up by Bandai.
