Xavier's white-and-gold Gyan and the lance that comes with it
Xavier Olivette's personal MS-15/H Gyan first appears in episode 7 of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX. The official GQuuuuuuX site describes it as a Zeon close-combat mobile suit that carries the Hakuji, a large composite weapon that doubles as a thruster, in white with gold lines.
This HG kit gives you the lance, the round Gyan shield and a clear stand to help carry the weight. It suits GQuuuuuuX fans, and anyone who wants a Gyan that looks like a knight rather than a foot soldier.
Build difficulty
Bandai rates this kit for ages 8 and over, and builders describe it as a standard polycap-less HG with a straightforward parts layout. We rate it Skill Level 2: snap-fit, with nippers, a hobby knife and sanding sticks for clean-up, and no glue needed.
The joints are moulded plastic with no polycaps, and they are stiff, so go gently when you pull the wrists and shoulders apart. The parts come on four runner bags.
Technical highlights
Most of the white and light grey is moulded colour, so the kit looks right straight off the runner. The gold lines on the body and weapons are stickers from the marking sticker sheet. A few grey areas, such as parts of the shins and sabers, are what builders paint for extra accuracy.
The mono-eye can be turned once you lift the head cover, the elbows are single-axis joints, and the wrists have a swing axis for thrusting poses. The backpack and the thigh thrusters swing, so you can line them up with the lance.

What to watch for
This comes from a read of independent builder reviews and the Gunpla Wiki. Where only one or two builders raised a point, it is worded that way.

Gold lines are stickers: several builders note the gold trim is supplied as stickers. Painting it instead needs careful masking.

Stickers can scuff: one builder reports that hard posing scraped the gold line on the thighs, and the Gunpla Wiki warns the rear thigh stickers can catch on the side waist armour pegs when you pose the upper thighs. A topcoat helps protect them.

The Hakuji is heavy: opinions differ. Two reviewers found the stiff joints hold it fine without the stand. Two others warn the hand pegs can break if handled roughly. One reviewer found the stand's attachment point of limited help, and also notes that resting the lance tip on the ground makes for a steadier hold.
