The EXM-H15D Acerby (Type-D) is the fourth release in Bandai's 30 Minutes Missions Acerby line, a compact, highly poseable Mobile Worker figure-kit built around the Maxion Army EXAMACS chassis. Where the Type-A through Type-C releases were mostly colour variants on the same parts, Type-D brings genuinely new armour and weapon tooling, headlined by a translucent energy blade.

What to watch for

Independent builder write-ups on the Type-D consistently flag the same thing: it's still a little top-heavy because of the head design, though noticeably less so than the earlier Type-A through Type-C releases thanks to the redesigned feet. It's a minor balance quirk rather than a fault, and the wider foot design keeps it standing through most poses without extra support.

Builder tip: if you're posing it fully upright with the head visor extended, angle the feet slightly wider than feels natural. It counteracts the top-heaviness and holds the pose better.

Assembly Guide

SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED
Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.
No Cement Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

No Painting Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Mecha series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Mecha kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a full model kit or just an accessory pack?

It's a complete kit. You get the full Acerby Type-D figure body, both armour sets, the head visor parts, and the weapons, everything you need to build the whole Mobile Worker.

Do I need glue or paint?

No. It's snap-fit, moulded in orange, white and matte grey, and the translucent blue parts on the visor and blade are cast clear straight from the runner.

How different is the Type-D from the earlier Acerby releases?

The Type-A through Type-C kits were mostly the same tooling in different colours. Type-D gets genuinely new parts: a new energy blade, new armour, and redesigned feet that hold a standing pose better than the earlier versions did.

Will it stand on its own in a dynamic pose?

Better than the earlier Acerby kits. The redesigned feet have deeper ball joints and a wider footprint, though it's still a little top-heavy because of the head design, so an Action Base 6 (sold separately) helps for more ambitious poses.

Is this a good first kit if I haven't built 30MM before?

Yes. It's snap-fit with a similar part count and complexity to a standard High Grade Gundam kit, so if you've built an HG before you'll be comfortable here. Nippers to remove parts cleanly from the runners are the only extra tool worth having.

Awesome kit, great extras. Only criticism is that the kit comes with a base so you don't need the second one. The kit also doesn't have the ability to take the blue LED bonus so if you don't have another use for it it is wasted. Luckily, I'm a Gundam tragic so will always have uses for extra bases and lighting kits.

Very rare with fair price

If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to travel to Sydney Gundam Base pop-up in 2025 and queued extremely early (like the first 40 or so) on the first day, probably you were able to grab one of these. Otherwise, the only alternative I would know of is traveling to Japan and being uber lucky of having it still being sold at Gundam bases. Otherwise, it's a second-hand market, and prices will go up. That said, the price was fair, I think it would be similar price as using a dropship service from Japan, with the exception that it's much faster and way more guaranteed you will get proper merchandise. So, Mecha Express, Cam, thank you so much for your store!
