Pre-Order Bandai Pokemon Plamo Collection Fossil Pokemon Series Aerodactyl
Pokemon Plamo Collection: Fossil Pokemon Series Aerodactyl
Aerodactyl is one of the original Fossil Pokemon, revived from ancient amber, and this Bandai Plamo kit builds it two ways: as the complete flying Pokemon, or as the fossil skeleton it was reconstructed from. Both forms use the same set of parts, so you get two display pieces from one box.
This kit is rated Skill Level 1 by Bandai, so it's approachable for a first-time builder as well as an experienced one. It's snap-fit throughout, with colour-coded plastic parts so no painting is needed to get the finished look. No cement is required either.
Technical Highlights
The jaw, neck, tail, wings and legs are all articulated, so once built you can pose Aerodactyl in a soaring flight stance using the included display base. The skeleton form recreates the skull, ribcage, spine, wing bones and tail in a bone-white finish, showing the same articulation points as the complete form.
What Makes This Kit Special
-
Two forms, one kit: build the complete Aerodactyl or its fossil skeleton from the same parts, no extra purchase needed.
-
Full articulation: jaw, neck, tail, wings and legs all move, so it's not a static statue.
-
Snap-fit, no glue or paint: colour-coded parts straight out of the box, Skill Level 1 assembly.
-
Included display base: pose it in a flying stance once built.
-
Faithful skeleton recreation: the fossil form is more than a reskin, showing the skull, ribs and spine in proper anatomical detail.

What to Watch For
This is a recent release (February 2026) and a genuine search across English-language retailer, wiki and community sources on 12 August 2026 turned up product listings and spec pages but no written builder reviews with hands-on fit or stability feedback yet. Nothing to flag as a build issue at this stage, stated honestly as thin coverage rather than a manufactured consensus.
Build Notes
No glue or paint required. Nippers are the only tool worth having on hand for clean part removal from the runners. Suitable from age 6 and up per Bandai's own rating. Build time is short, this is a compact kit built for a quick, satisfying session rather than a weekend project.
