Koraidon, the Scarlet cover Legendary, built without tools
Koraidon is the Legendary Pokemon on the cover of Pokemon Scarlet, a Paradox Pokemon from Paldea's distant past. Bandai's Select Series No.60 builds it in its full-power form, with the head crest, the layered wing feathers and the long streamer tail. It is a non-scale kit and went on sale in Japan on 27 September 2025.
Build difficulty
Skill Level 1. Bandai rates this kit for ages 6 and up and marks the box no glue and no tools: the parts are moulded in colour and come off the runners by hand. The part that takes time is the stickers. There are 56 of them across two sheets, and the gradient on each wing is layered from two or three stickers. Builders who have made it agree the stickers are the hardest part, so set aside a patient evening and a good light. Bandai does not publish a build time.
Technical highlights
- Parts moulded in red, blue, black and white, with colour-correcting stickers for the finer details.
- Two sticker types: foil stickers for the white markings on the chest and limbs and the chest wheel, and thinner low-gloss stickers for the gradients.
- Moving jaw with a tongue moulded inside the mouth, plus a head, shoulders, wrists and legs that move.
- A small ball-jointed tuft on the head.
What makes this kit special
-
Full-power Koraidon: the crest, wing feathers and streamer tail are all there, not a simplified silhouette.
-
Layered gradient wings: the blue to pink fade is built up from stickers, so the colour work is done for you.
-
No tools, no glue: Bandai marks the box for tool-free assembly.
-
Pre-coloured parts: no paint is needed to get the red, blue, black and white scheme.
-
Poseable jaw: open the mouth for a roar or close it for a standing pose.
What's in the box
- Pre-coloured runners in red, blue, black and white (one builder counts four runners, one of them soft plastic)
- Two sticker sheets: 16 foil stickers and 40 low-gloss stickers, 56 in total
- Instruction manual
Not included: a display stand (Bandai's parts list shows stickers only) and tools.
Compatible accessories
Bandai lists no display stand with this kit and names no official compatible stand, so none is recommended here. One builder reports that it stands on its own feet, with the tail resting on the surface.

What to watch for
Drawing on builder write-ups, mostly Japanese-language. Where only one builder raised a point, it is marked as such:
- Several builders point to the stickers as the hardest part. The sheets are hard to peel, the large gradient stickers are fiddly to line up, and one reviewer felt the sticker work was a stretch for younger children.
- One builder advises removing the leftover gate nub from the eye parts before applying the eye stickers, or the stickers lift.
- Reviewers describe the articulation as limited. One detailed breakdown reports a head that tilts up and down but not side to side, shoulders that swing but do not roll sideways, no elbow joint, and wrists that mostly roll.
- One reviewer says the small head tuft comes off if it is pushed forward, so rotate it and keep an eye on it.
- One builder found the kit larger than other Pokemon plamo kits and saw nub marks on the dark grey parts after cutting with nippers.
Build notes
No glue and no tools are needed per Bandai, and parts come off the runners by hand. A pair of nippers is optional if you want cleaner cut marks, especially on the darker parts. Recommended for ages 6 and up per Bandai.
