The 30MM W-19 Option Parts Set 9 (Large Booster Unit) is a big modular booster pack for the 30 Minutes Missions line. Display it as one large booster unit, or split it apart and spread the thrusters, shield binders and leg unit across your existing 30MM figures as individual customisation parts.

Snap-fit, moulded in white and grey plastic, no cement and no paint needed. Recommended for builders 15 and up.

What's in the box

  • Core parts (x1): the central frame the rest of the booster builds around.
  • Large leg booster unit (x1): the oversized leg-mounted thruster piece.
  • Thruster unit (x1): an additional thruster component for the build.

Assembly Guide

SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED
Skill Level.1. Most adults & children can assemble Skill Level 1 kits with little to no difficulty. Very basic hobby tools are recommended including a pair of nippers, a hobby knife, but are not essential. No Glue is needed for these kits. Kits are all snap together build and most parts can be removed by twisting and pushing without the need to snip with nippers.
No Cement Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

No Painting Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Mecha series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Mecha kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

This booster unit looks huge! Will it make my mecha too heavy or unbalanced?

While the W19 adds bulk, the modular design allows for customization. You can choose to attach the entire booster unit for maximum power, or detach specific components like the heavy leg units for a lighter, more agile build.

I'm new to model building. Is the W19 difficult to put together?

30MM kits are generally beginner-friendly. The W19 will require basic tools and glue (not included) for assembly. Clear instructions and the modular design make it easier to manage compared to more complex model kits.

Does the W19 come painted like in the pictures?

No, the W19 comes in unpainted plastic. This allows you to customize the colors to perfectly match your existing mecha or create a unique design. Paint and other detailing materials are sold separately.

Can I use the W19 parts with other types of model kits besides 30MM?

The W19 is specifically designed for 30 Minutes Missions kits. The connection points may not be compatible with other model lines. However, some creative builders might be able to modify the parts for use with other kits.

Awesome kit, great extras. Only criticism is that the kit comes with a base so you don't need the second one. The kit also doesn't have the ability to take the blue LED bonus so if you don't have another use for it it is wasted. Luckily, I'm a Gundam tragic so will always have uses for extra bases and lighting kits.

Very rare with fair price

If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to travel to Sydney Gundam Base pop-up in 2025 and queued extremely early (like the first 40 or so) on the first day, probably you were able to grab one of these. Otherwise, the only alternative I would know of is traveling to Japan and being uber lucky of having it still being sold at Gundam bases. Otherwise, it's a second-hand market, and prices will go up. That said, the price was fair, I think it would be similar price as using a dropship service from Japan, with the exception that it's much faster and way more guaranteed you will get proper merchandise. So, Mecha Express, Cam, thank you so much for your store!
