Bandai 30MM Option Parts Set Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon Weapon Set 06

V.IV Rusty's full loadout, built for the 30MM line

Weapon Set 06 brings four more weapons from Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon into Bandai's 30MM range: the MA-E-211 SAMPU burst handgun, the twin-blade Vvc-774LS Laser Slicer, the Vvc-703PM plasma missile pod, and the MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF burst rifle. Bandai built this set to complete V.IV Rusty's loadout from the game, and the parts share a common mounting standard with the rest of the Armored Core VI 30MM line, so pieces mix and match across the range rather than being locked to one kit.

This is an option parts set, weapons and mounting hardware only. It's built to arm an existing 30MM Armored Core VI frame, not to stand alone.

Build difficulty

Skill Level 2 assembly. Every part is snap-fit onto a compatible 30MM Armored Core VI frame, no cement and no paint required. Bandai rates the box at ages 8 and up, so despite the Skill Level 2 complexity it's pitched as approachable for a younger or newer builder working alongside someone more experienced. The asymmetrical weapons include separate reproduction parts so you can build them correctly for either the left or right mounting point, which is the one step worth reading the manual for before starting.

Technical highlights

The Vvc-774LS Laser Slicer includes interchangeable parts to recreate it in a deployed, blades-extended state. Left and right Weapon Hangers are included, letting arm-mounted weapons shift up to the shoulders for a different silhouette. The box notes this set opens up the Weapon Bay storage system when paired with a compatible base kit, so the extra weapons can be stowed on the frame rather than left off-model.

What Makes This Kit Special

  • Completes V.IV Rusty's loadout: built specifically to bring this pilot's full Armored Core VI arsenal into the 30MM line.
  • Four distinct weapons in one set: burst handgun, laser slicer, plasma missile pod and burst rifle, more loadout variety than a single-weapon accessory pack.
  • Cross-kit compatible parts: shares its mounting standard with other kits in the Armored Core VI 30MM line, so pieces mix and match rather than being locked to one frame.
  • Deployable Laser Slicer: interchangeable parts let the twin-blade weapon display in its extended, blades-out state.
  • Weapon Bay compatible: opens up on-frame weapon storage when paired with a compatible base kit.
  • Snap-fit only: no cement or paint required to reach a presentable finish.

What to watch for

A search across English and Japanese hobby blogs, Reddit and YouTube build coverage turned up official Bandai and retailer listings for this set but no independent build reports yet, likely reflecting how recently it released. Nothing has surfaced to flag as a known issue, but treat that as not yet documented rather than confirmed trouble-free.

Build Notes

No glue needed. No paint needed. Basic hobby nippers are handy for runner removal. Pay attention to the manual when assembling the asymmetrical weapons, since left and right mounting uses different reproduction parts. Requires a compatible 30MM Armored Core VI frame, sold separately, to mount onto. Recommended age 8+.

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Mecha series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Mecha kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this weapon set fit any Armored Core VI 30MM kit, or just one?

It's built to complete V.IV Rusty's loadout and uses the same 30MM hardpoint and hanger system as the rest of the Armored Core VI line, so it's designed to mount on any compatible 30MM Armored Core VI frame rather than being locked to a single kit.

What's included in the set?

Four weapons: the MA-E-211 SAMPU burst handgun, the Vvc-774LS Laser Slicer with deployed-state parts, the Vvc-703PM plasma missile pod, and the MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF burst rifle, plus left and right Weapon Hangers and mounting hardware.

Does it need glue or paint?

No. Every part is snap-fit onto a compatible 30MM frame, with no cement and no paint required for a clean finish straight from the parts.

What's the Laser Slicer's deployed state?

The Vvc-774LS Laser Slicer includes interchangeable parts so it can be built and displayed with its twin blades in an extended, deployed position rather than only the stowed form.

Does this include a mobile suit or frame to build?

No. This is a weapons and option parts set only. You'll need a compatible 30MM Armored Core VI frame on hand, sold separately, to mount these weapons onto.
