Builder Notes
The Item Shop 1 (Knight Option) is a well-considered accessory expansion for 30MF Knight Silhouette builders, but it comes with a few configuration trade-offs you need to decide before you start clipping parts. Read through this in full before assembly.
Collar Armour Loss (Most Important Gotcha): The collar piece on the standard Knight armour connects directly to the stock back armour plate and the stock chest armour. If you use either the alternate back armour/spaulder adapter included in this set, or one of the two new chest pieces, the collar armour comes off the build entirely. This is not a defect. It is a known configuration trade-off. Dry-fit your planned layout before committing so you know exactly what stays and what goes.
Faceplate Compatibility: The two included faceplates cover the lower half of the head only. They require the mouthpiece from the base Silhouette kit to complete the face, which means giving up the Knight armour's winged faceplate. Both new faceplates accept the standard comb as well as the feathered comb included in this set. Just know going in that the wing-flanged Knight faceplate is off the table once you swap.
3mm Plug Shortage: Each spaulder piece has a 3mm hole on the front face for optional attachment points. Two decorative 3mm plug pieces are included to cap these when not in use. The problem is there are four spaulder pieces and only enough plugs for one spaulder. If you want a clean, closed finish on both shoulder assemblies, source two extra 3mm plugs from your parts box before you start.
30MS Adapter Notes: Two adapter pieces are included for compatibility with 30 Minutes Sisters kits. The side skirt adapter clips directly without needing extra joint parts. The spaulder adapter requires joint parts OI-B1-7, which are included. These are small. Keep them somewhere safe before you need them rather than hunting through the sprue later.
UV-Reactive Clear Blue Parts: The OI-A2 sprue duplicates several pieces from the grey OI-A1 sprue in UV-reactive clear blue plastic, including the potion bottles and treasure chests. Under UV light these glow well. Worth planning your display setup around if that is part of what you are going for.
Compatibility Rating: 8/10. The parts clip onto Knight and Silhouette bodies cleanly with no reported fitment issues. The 30MS adapter pieces add genuine cross-line flexibility. The collar trade-off is the only real limitation, and that is a design constraint rather than a quality problem. Once you have decided on your configuration, everything goes together without friction.
The Fixes: Plan your configuration before assembly and decide upfront whether you are keeping or replacing the collar armour, chest armour, and back plate. Source two extra 3mm plugs before you build if you want clean spaulder fronts on both shoulders. Keep the OI-B1-7 joint parts accessible during assembly so they do not disappear into the parts pile.
