The Netflix Zeon grunt, brought to life from Requiem for Vengeance
This is Solari's MS-06F Zaku II, the Zeon mass-production machine from Netflix's Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance. Where the series shows the war from the Zeon side, this kit puts that grunt-pilot machine on your shelf, rendered with the high-density surface detail that matches the show's Unreal Engine 5 look. It's a modern HG, so the moulded colour separation does a lot of the work straight from the box.
Build difficulty
This is a Skill Level 2 build on the Mecha Express scale. Snap-fit, no glue and no paint required. It's a newer HG mould, which means clean engineering and strong colour separation, so it's an approachable and rewarding build for a newer builder and a quick, satisfying one for a veteran.
Technical highlights
The detail is the headline. The kit reproduces the dense panel and mechanical detail of the CG design, with the mono-eye able to slide along its track for expression. Colour separation is handled through moulded parts across the tan, grey and maroon scheme, with stickers filling the finer markings. Articulation is solid for a Zaku, with the tube-run cabling posed to match the show.
What makes this kit special

Compatible accessories
As a standard 1/144 HG, the Zaku II works with the usual Gunpla display gear. A separately sold action base with a 1/144 adaptor helps with the more dynamic firing and melee poses, and a Gunpla marker set sharpens the panel lines on the earthy armour. These are sold separately and are not included in the box.

What to watch for
Drawing on builder reviews and community threads (r/Gunpla, YouTube reviews, and a Mecha Express buyer's own review):
-
The stickers are the main niggle. A buyer and other builders note some of the stickers are fiddly to place cleanly on certain sections. Take your time seating them, or swap to aftermarket water-slide decals or a little paint if you want a crisper finish.
-
Otherwise it's praised as exceptional out of the box. Reviewers consistently call the newer HG quality excellent, with strong colour separation, so a straight build looks great with no paint needed.
-
Clean nub removal on the feet and armour. Some builders like to add a zimmerit-style surface texture or a weathering pass to match the CG look, though that is entirely optional.
Build notes
No glue required, this is a snap-fit kit. A basic Gunpla tool kit (sharp side cutters or nippers, a hobby knife for clean-up and a panel line marker) is recommended though not essential. Recommended age 8 and over. No batteries required.
