Key features
  1. Elegant Custom Design: Reflecting Carta Issue's distinct sense of pride and nobility, her Graze Ritter features a more ornate and royal design compared to the standard Graze units. The model has additional armor pieces, especially noticeable on the shoulders and head, and features a more knight-like aesthetic. The colour scheme, combining pristine white with gold accents, adds to its majestic appearance.
  2. Specialised Armaments: Carta's Graze Ritter is equipped with unique weapons befitting its knightly theme. Along with the standard Graze rifle, it is armed with a large "Graze Sword" which is reminiscent of medieval weaponry. 3. Highly Poseable with Enhanced Details: The HG model captures the details of Carta's Graze Ritter faithfully, from its unique head crest to its elongated shoulder armor. Bandai 1/144 HGIBO Carta's Graze Ritter

Bandai 1/144 HGIBO Carta's Graze Ritter

This is the personal mobile suit of Carta Issue, commander of the Outer Earth Orbit Regulatory Joint Fleet in Iron-Blooded Orphans. The Graze Ritter is Gjallarhorn's knightly officer variant — an evolution of the standard Graze with heavier armour, a custom blade antenna, and a knight sword that suits Carta's chivalric self-image. If you remember her hot-headed pursuit of Tekkadan through the Earth descent arc, this is the unit she pilots.

Carta's teal, black, and dark grey colour scheme makes this kit one of the more striking variants in the HGIBO range, and the knight sword adds genuine display presence beyond the standard Graze loadout.

This kit is designed for beginner-to-intermediate builders and is a clean snap-fit build with strong colour separation.

The Graze Ritter sits on the standard Graze frame with upgraded shoulder and hip armour, and Carta's version adds the unique blade antenna along with the signature knight sword. Standard Graze gear — rear booster, battle axe, rifle — is all included, so the kit can be posed in pursuit configuration or in close-combat mode with the sword drawn. Articulation is solid for the HGIBO line and colour separation is largely handled in the runners.

What Makes This Kit Special

  • Carta Issue Personal Colours: Distinctive teal, black, and dark grey scheme straight from the runners
  • Knight Sword: Custom long sword unique to the Graze Ritter, suits Carta's chivalric posing
  • Custom Blade Antenna: Unique antenna design marks the unit out from the standard Graze and Schwalbe variants
  • Upgraded Officer Armour: Reinforced shoulder and hip armour over the standard Graze frame
  • Full Standard Loadout: Rear booster, battle axe, and rifle all included alongside the knight sword
  • HGIBO Compatibility: Compatible with other HGIBO Graze variants for parts swapping and customisation
  • Action Base Compatible: Standard 3mm peg for aerial display

Fast Australian Shipping

Same Day Dispatch: Orders placed before 2pm weekdays ship same day. Orders after 2pm or on weekends ship next business day.

Australian Stock: In stock and ready to ship Australia-wide from Mecha Express. The HGIBO 1/144 Carta's Graze Ritter is the personal mobile suit of Carta Issue, with knight sword, blade antenna, battle axe, rifle, and rear booster included.

What to Watch For

The custom blade antenna is a fragile single piece. Handle the head carefully during assembly and consider a touch of glue on the antenna base if you plan to display or move the kit frequently. The knight sword grip is slightly loose in the closed hand pose — a small piece of clear tape or a dab of Blu-Tack on the grip pin holds it in place for display.

Builder Tips: Panel lining brings out the layered officer armour. A black or dark brown panel line marker works well across the teal and dark grey, and a grey marker on the lighter accent panels adds definition. A satin or matte topcoat sells the metallic-looking armour finish.

Build Notes

Snap-fit assembly. No glue required for the standard build. Nippers recommended for clean part removal. Expect a 2-3 hour build with panel lining. Action Base sold separately. Recommended age 15+.

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Mecha series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Mecha kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.
