FAQ

Bandai Clay Model Kit 08 Unkosul Days Super DX Set 1

Clay and plastic parts, four poo-shaped characters

The Clay Model Kit Unkosul Days Super DX Set 1 is a Bandai Spirits novelty set. You press paper clay into a mould to make the swirl-shaped body, then push plastic parts into it to finish the character. Bandai gives this set parts for four characters (a cyber warrior, an idol, a cat and a bear) as colour variants.

It is not a Gunpla kit. It is a clay and plastic craft set from Bandai's Unkosul Days line, rated 6+ by Bandai.

Build difficulty

Easy. Bandai's instruction pictures show the parts removed by hand with no tools, the mould clicked together, clay pressed in and the shape popped out, then the plastic parts pushed on. The pictures show no glue or paint step, and the stickers are used for the faces.

Technical highlights

Bandai lists a large mould and a small mould. Four 30 g blocks of paper clay cover red, blue, black and white. In Bandai's photos the cyber warrior is red, the idol is blue, the cat is grey and the bear is white.

What makes this set special

  • Four characters in one box: cyber warrior, idol, cat and bear, as colour variants.
  • Four colours of paper clay: red, blue, black and white, 30 g of each.
  • Two moulds: one large, one small.
  • Mix and match: Bandai says this one set alone lets you try different combinations of the parts.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes these Gunpla kits the hottest sellers?

These kits are fan favourites for their detailed design, affordability, and build size, offering a balanced and enjoyable building experience.

Are these hottest seller kits suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! Especially the HG kits, which are known for their fewer parts and simplicity, making them a great starting point for new builders.

What is the level of detail in the MG and RG hottest sellers?

MG kits boast a detailed inner frame and additional parts, while RG combines MG’s complexity with HG’s size for an intricate, compact build.

Can I get replacement parts if I lose some during the build?

Yes, if you buy a kit from Mecha Express Australia we will source replacement parts for you. This is not a quick process as parts need to come from Bandai in Japan.

How much space will I need to display these Gunpla?

HG and RG Gundam kits are compact, while MG Gundam are larger but still manageable. You won’t need too much space to showcase these masterpieces beautifully.

MGEX Strike Freedom Golden Week deal

Awesome kit, great extras. Only criticism is that the kit comes with a base so you don't need the second one. The kit also doesn't have the ability to take the blue LED bonus so if you don't have another use for it it is wasted. Luckily, I'm a Gundam tragic so will always have uses for extra bases and lighting kits.

Excellent service and fast delivery

I purchased on 6 Jan and my order arrived on 13 Jan. It was very well packed, with both boxes in excellent condition. Cam even provided a small free gift in the box! Overall purchasing experience was smooth and hassle-free. I haven’t had the chance to build the kit yet, but based on the service and care taken with shipping, I would happily purchase from this store if there are other Space Battleship Yamato models available.

Very rare with fair price

If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to travel to Sydney Gundam Base pop-up in 2025 and queued extremely early (like the first 40 or so) on the first day, probably you were able to grab one of these. Otherwise, the only alternative I would know of is traveling to Japan and being uber lucky of having it still being sold at Gundam bases. Otherwise, it's a second-hand market, and prices will go up. That said, the price was fair, I think it would be similar price as using a dropship service from Japan, with the exception that it's much faster and way more guaranteed you will get proper merchandise. So, Mecha Express, Cam, thank you so much for your store!
