Bandai 30MF Liber Holy Knight

Liber Knight and Holy Knight armour in one box

The Bandai 30MF Liber Holy Knight is a combined 30 Minutes Fantasy set: the Liber Knight base kit and the Holy Knight Class-Up Armor together, so you can build the Holy Knight job straight from the box. Bandai describes the Holy Knight as a job with swordsmanship filled with divine power and high physical defence.

The two parts were released in Japan on 31 August 2024 and are rated 15 and over. This box suits fantasy-armour fans, 30 Minutes Label collectors, and anyone who wants the full Holy Knight without buying two kits.

Build difficulty

This is a snap-fit kit with no glue or paint needed. A reviewer who built the set described the build as straightforward, with articulation better than anything else that reviewer had encountered. Nippers and some clean-up on the gate marks are all you need.

Technical highlights

The base is Bandai's "silhouette" body with articulation axes in the head and neck, a shoulder joint design that keeps the body line during bold poses, and chest, torso and waist axes working with a sliding mechanism at the base of the waist. The armour attaches through joints on the back, so the shoulder and waist armour does not lock the body up. The sword and shield mount on the back or waist with joint parts. Assembly Guide

SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED
Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.
No Cement Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

No Painting Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Mecha series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Mecha kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Awesome kit, great extras. Only criticism is that the kit comes with a base so you don't need the second one. The kit also doesn't have the ability to take the blue LED bonus so if you don't have another use for it it is wasted. Luckily, I'm a Gundam tragic so will always have uses for extra bases and lighting kits.

Very rare with fair price

If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to travel to Sydney Gundam Base pop-up in 2025 and queued extremely early (like the first 40 or so) on the first day, probably you were able to grab one of these. Otherwise, the only alternative I would know of is traveling to Japan and being uber lucky of having it still being sold at Gundam bases. Otherwise, it's a second-hand market, and prices will go up. That said, the price was fair, I think it would be similar price as using a dropship service from Japan, with the exception that it's much faster and way more guaranteed you will get proper merchandise. So, Mecha Express, Cam, thank you so much for your store!
