MetalGarurumon in Amplified detail, Gabumon's Mega form
This is the Figure-rise Standard Amplified MetalGarurumon, the cybernetic wolf from Digimon Adventure built in Bandai's Amplified line, the higher-detail redesign that sharpens the proportions and pushes the colour separation over the standard kit. It is a snap-fit model kit moulded in colour that builds into a fully posable, four-legged MetalGarurumon with clear energy-wing effects, an opening jaw and its special-move Finisher effects.
Build difficulty
It is a snap-fit kit, so no glue and no paint are needed for a standard build, and the colour is moulded in. The Amplified kits carry a higher part count and more colour-separated pieces than the plainer figures, so set aside a bit more time, but nothing here needs advanced technique. A pair of nippers for clean runner removal is the tool worth having, and there is a fair amount of foil-sticker detail to apply patiently.
Technical highlights
The Amplified redesign is the headline: intense colour separation reproduced through individual moulded parts (lavender, blue and magenta accents) rather than paint, plus a whole host of clear parts for the wings and the special-move effects. The jaw opens to reveal a sculpted tongue and teeth, the fingers are posable, and the four-legged frame moves through a wide, beast-like range across the shoulders, legs and tail. A full action base with a connector joint is included so you can lift MetalGarurumon into leaping and flying poses.

What to watch for
Based on verified builder reviews of this kit:
-
It leans on stickers. A fair amount of the fine detail is handled by the foil sticker sheet rather than moulded parts, so take your time applying them cleanly.
-
The open jaw limits the neck. The opening mouth is a great gimmick, but with the jaw fully open the head does not tilt as far, so pick the pose you want.
-
Nub cleanup shows on the metallic parts. Gate marks read at a distance on the bright, plated-look plastic, so a sharp knife and patience pay off.
Builder tip: a panel-line wash in the recessed mechanical detail makes the Amplified sculpt really pop.
Build notes
No cement or paint required, this is a snap-fit kit moulded in colour. A pair of nippers is the main tool worth having, and a foil sticker sheet handles the fine markings. A satisfying build for anyone who has done a kit or two, and manageable for a patient newer builder. Recommended age 15 and up.
