Alpha Sisters Phantasm 2 is Bandai's second run at the THE iDOLM@STER: SHINYCOLORS crossover costume for the 30MS line, an original stage outfit designed for the 30 Minutes Sisters body platform. Color C swaps the earlier black-dominant palette for a white-forward scheme with glitter-infused clear accents.

This is an option body parts set, not a complete figure. It's built to dress an existing 30MS body kit rather than stand alone.

Build difficulty

Skill Level 2 assembly. Parts are snap-fit onto a compatible 30MS body with no cement and no paint required, though a light sand on the ankle joint is worth doing before final assembly (see What to watch for). Straightforward for anyone who has built a 30MM or 30MS kit before, and manageable as a first option-parts set.

Technical highlights

The corset-style dress, ruffled skirt panels and thigh-high boots are all moulded in colour, with glitter-infused clear plastic on the accent pieces for a sparkle under light that plain white plastic doesn't give. The set includes interchangeable chest pieces so the same base costume can be styled a couple of different ways, plus two spare forearm parts. Articulation is standard 30MS: good torso rotation, though the rigid skirt panels limit knee bend and the corset limits elbow travel to roughly 90 degrees.

What to watch for

Independent Japanese-language build coverage of this release flagged two points. One reviewer found the ankle joint tight, since the sculpted high heel puts extra stress on the joint; a light sand smooths the rotation. The same reviewer noted the forearm wrist axis on an earlier colourway in this line had shown cracking under repeated posing, worth handling gently when swapping poses. Both points are from a single independent source rather than a confirmed pattern across multiple builders, so treat them as a heads-up rather than an established issue.

Build Notes

No glue needed. No paint needed. A hobby knife and a fine sanding stick are handy for the ankle joint fit. Requires a compatible 30MS body kit, sold separately, to build onto. Recommended age 15+.
