The dark Tiga, built for action
This is the Figure-rise Standard Ultraman Suit Evil Tiga in the -Action- specification, the corrupted Tiga suit from the modern ULTRAMAN manga and anime. The -Action- version reworks the articulation so the dark suit actually holds the menacing poses: the neck is re-divided for a wider range, and extra ball joints in the neck and abdomen let it bend forward and twist at the waist. The suit design is by Eiichi Shimizu, and it comes with its own original weapons.
Build difficulty
It is a snap-fit kit moulded in colour, so no glue and no paint are needed to build it. There are effect parts and swap hands to fit, so it asks a little care, but nothing beyond a patient newer builder. A pair of nippers for clean runner removal is the main tool worth having. Recommended age 15 and up.
Technical highlights
The articulation is the point of the -Action- release: a re-divided neck and ball joints through the neck and abdomen open up the aggressive, hunched poses the character is known for. The abdomen takes either a standard movable part or an optional LED-mounting part, so you can wire it up later if you want a glow (the LED unit is sold separately). It is moulded in colour, so the silver and gunmetal armour reads right straight off the runner.
What makes this kit special

-Action- articulation: a re-divided neck and extra abdomen and neck ball joints for a wider posing range.

-
LED-ready abdomen: swap in the optional LED-mounting part for a lit chest (LED unit sold separately).
-
Three hand types and an effect base: plenty of posing options, with a Figure-rise Effect base included.
-
Snap-fit, moulded in colour: no glue or paint needed for a clean build.

What to watch for
We haven't found a body of independent builder reviews for this specific kit, so we can't pass on verified fit-and-finish feedback. Two honest notes: the LED is not included (the abdomen just accepts one, sold separately), so don't expect a light in the box, and the effect parts and swap hands move with a gentle hand. No cement is needed at any point.
Builder tip: a dark wash really lifts the menace and picks out the panel lines on the silver and gunmetal armour.
Build notes
No cement or paint required, this is a snap-fit kit moulded in colour. The abdomen is LED-compatible but the LED unit is a separate purchase. Stickers and marking stickers handle the fine detail. A pair of nippers is the main tool worth having. Recommended age 15 and up.
