Two DAIMA heroes for the shelf
In Dragon Ball DAIMA, the new King of the Demon Realm, Gomah, uses a wish on Shenron to shrink Goku and his allies down to weaken them, sending Goku into the Demon Realm to put things right. This set brings that DAIMA look to the shelf: Son Goku (Mini) and Piccolo (Mini), pre-painted in their smaller DAIMA designs and set up on a shared display base rather than posed mid-fight.
This one's for Dragon Ball fans who want the DAIMA character designs on display without a full build session, and for anyone building out a Dragon Ball shelf who doesn't need every piece to be a posed action figure.
Build difficulty
This is a fast, beginner-friendly build. The parts arrive pre-painted, face and body already coloured, so there's no painting step. Assembly is snap/joint-together with no glue required. It's a short build suited to one sitting, not a multi-session project. Worth knowing before you buy: the finished figures are static display pieces, not articulated action figures. If you're after something you can pose, this isn't it.
Technical highlights
Pre-painted parts carry the DAIMA colour scheme straight out of the box, so there's no colour-matching or touch-up required to get the look right. Each figure locks onto the shared base using a set of joint parts that fix the feet in place for a stable, non-wobbly display. The background itself is modular: the blocks that make up the display base can be rearranged into three different height combinations, so the same set gives a few different display layouts without buying anything extra.
What makes this kit special
-
Official DAIMA designs: Goku and Piccolo in their specific DAIMA-series character designs, not a generic chibi reskin.
-
Pre-painted finish: face and body parts are coloured at the factory, so the display look is done as soon as the pieces click together.
-
Modular height background: the block base rearranges into three height combinations for a bit of display variety.
-
Joint-pin stabilised display: each figure locks to the base rather than just balancing on it.
-
Two-character set: Goku and Piccolo built and displayed together in one box.
-
No glue, no paint: straightforward assembly with nothing extra to buy to finish it.

Build your Dragon Ball collection
Pair this with the Dragon Ball DAIMA Model Kit Son Goku (Mini) & Vegeta (Mini) for a wider DAIMA line-up on the shelf. Both sets share the same modular background system, so the display blocks work together if you're building out more than one.

What to watch for
The main thing to get right before buying: this kit is not articulated. If you want a Goku or Piccolo figure you can pose, look elsewhere in the range, this one is built once and displayed as-is. Builder tip: test-fit the joint parts into the base before final assembly so the figures sit level on the display blocks.
Build notes
No glue and no paint required. A hobby knife or nippers aren't essential but can help if any parts need light clean-up. This is a short build suited to one sitting rather than a multi-session project.
