Bandai 30MM Armored Core VI RaD CC-2000 Orbiter

Bandai 30MM Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon — RaD CC-2000 Orbiter

The CC-2000 Orbiter is one of RaD's hover-frame AC builds from Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon. Bandai's 30MM kit reproduces the LR-036 CURTIS reverse-jointed hover-leg configuration that defines the Orbiter's silhouette — a high-mobility flight-focused AC build distinct from the bipedal frames in the rest of the line. As with the rest of the 30MM AC6 range, this kit slots into the wider 30MM modular system, so the parts can be swapped freely with other 30MM kits and weapon packs for custom AC builds.

If you play Armored Core VI or collect 30MM kits, the Orbiter is one of the more visually distinctive AC frames in the line and a natural pair to the Steel Haze on a Fires of Rubicon shelf.

This kit is designed for beginner-to-intermediate builders and is a clean snap-fit build with the modular 30MM joint system.

The Orbiter ships with the full LR-036 CURTIS frame including the hover legs, the matched arms and core, and a joint parts set for posing. The pre-coloured runners deliver the AC aesthetic out of the box, with stickers handling the brand markings. The 30MM 3mm peg system means every component can be removed and swapped with other 30MM kits for kitbash builds.

What Makes This Kit Special

  • LR-036 CURTIS Hover Frame: Reverse-jointed hover legs faithfully reproduced from Armored Core VI
  • RaD Corporate Design: Distinctive RaD manufacturer aesthetic from Fires of Rubicon
  • Full 30MM Modular Compatibility: 3mm peg system across all parts for cross-kit customisation
  • Custom AC Build Potential: Swap legs, arms, and weapons with other 30MM kits to build alternate AC configurations
  • Pre-Coloured Runners: AC aesthetic delivered out of the box without paint
  • Joint Parts Included: Set for posing and connection variety
  • Action Base Compatible: Standard 30MM peg works with Action Base 8

What's In The Box

  • LR-036 CURTIS AC frame (Orbiter configuration)
  • Joint parts (1 set)

Fast Australian Shipping

Australian Stock: In stock and ready to ship Australia-wide from Mecha Express. The 30MM RaD CC-2000 Orbiter (LR-036 CURTIS) is the RaD hover-frame AC from Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon with full 30MM modular compatibility.

What to Watch For

The hover legs have a slightly different balance profile than bipedal 30MM kits — the kit sits stable on a flat surface but may benefit from an Action Base for active flight poses. Sticker placement on the smaller AC parts can be fiddly; consider using a hobby knife to trim oversized stickers to size before applying.

Builder Tips: Panel lining lifts the AC mechanical detail. A dark grey marker on the lighter panels and a black marker on the dark panels works best across the AC palette. Action Base 8 pairs naturally with the Orbiter's hover-frame design for displays.

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Mecha series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Mecha kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes these Gunpla kits the hottest sellers?

These kits are fan favourites for their detailed design, affordability, and build size, offering a balanced and enjoyable building experience.

Are these hottest seller kits suitable for beginners?

Absolutely! Especially the HG kits, which are known for their fewer parts and simplicity, making them a great starting point for new builders.

What is the level of detail in the MG and RG hottest sellers?

MG kits boast a detailed inner frame and additional parts, while RG combines MG’s complexity with HG’s size for an intricate, compact build.

Can I get replacement parts if I lose some during the build?

Yes, if you buy a kit from Gundam Express Australia we will source replacement parts for you. This is not a quick process as parts need to come from Bandai in Japan.

How much space will I need to display these Gunpla?

HG and RG Gundam kits are compact, while MG Gundam are larger but still manageable. You won’t need too much space to showcase these masterpieces beautifully.
