Bandai 1/144 Witch From Mercury 135 Multiuse Decal Set 3

Not every kit comes with water slide (water transfer) decals, but Bandai has released ones to go with select model kits separately! These decals were designed to add flair to many MG Seed kits!

Application Process:

  1. Cut out desired decal.
  2. Dip decal and backing in water. Leave submerged 10-30 seconds.
  3. Remove decal from water with tweezers.
  4. Gently lift decal off of paper backing with tweezers.
  5. Place decal in desired location on model, adjusting with cotton swab if necessary.
  6. Apply Mark Setter or Mark Softer as needed.

Great question! While the stickers are fine, water slide decals blend seamlessly onto your Gundam, giving it a more professional, painted-on look. They're a bit trickier to apply, but the end result? Totally worth it!

Oops, messed up placing one. Can I reposition a water slide decal if I goofed?

No worries, happens to the best of us! While they're a bit delicate, you can carefully slide and adjust them while they're still wet. But once they're dry, they're pretty much set in place.

Do I need any special tools or products to put these bad boys on?

Basic tools like tweezers, decal scissors and a small brush can be super handy. Some folks also use decal softeners or setters to help the decal conform to curved surfaces and stick better. But at a minimum? Just some water and patience.

What's the key differences between Gundam water slide, dry rub and sticker

Water slide decals need water, offering a more seamless finish. Dry rubs are transferred by rubbing and integrate well on surfaces. Stickers are simple peel-and-stick, quick to apply but may stand out more than the other two. Each has its own application technique and visual effect.

How do I protect my decals once they're on? Don't want my hard work going to waste!

Awesome kit, great extras. Only criticism is that the kit comes with a base so you don't need the second one. The kit also doesn't have the ability to take the blue LED bonus so if you don't have another use for it it is wasted. Luckily, I'm a Gundam tragic so will always have uses for extra bases and lighting kits.

Very rare with fair price

If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to travel to Sydney Gundam Base pop-up in 2025 and queued extremely early (like the first 40 or so) on the first day, probably you were able to grab one of these. Otherwise, the only alternative I would know of is traveling to Japan and being uber lucky of having it still being sold at Gundam bases. Otherwise, it's a second-hand market, and prices will go up. That said, the price was fair, I think it would be similar price as using a dropship service from Japan, with the exception that it's much faster and way more guaranteed you will get proper merchandise. So, Mecha Express, Cam, thank you so much for your store!
