GSI Creos Real Touch Marker Shade Off (GM400)

The Real Touch Shade Off is the blurring pen of the GSI Creos Real Touch range. It does not add colour. It softens and blends the edges of marker lines you have already put down, so the effect looks less like a line and more like natural weathering. It sits in the Gundam Marker Pens range.

  • Blends GM401 to GM410: GSI Creos describes it as the pen for gradating the boundary of already applied Real Touch colours.

Using it

Run it along the edge of a marker line to soften the boundary. If the tip gets dirty, clean it with a tissue, and if the dirt becomes hard to remove, GSI Creos says to use a new blurring pen.

Awesome kit, great extras. Only criticism is that the kit comes with a base so you don't need the second one. The kit also doesn't have the ability to take the blue LED bonus so if you don't have another use for it it is wasted. Luckily, I'm a Gundam tragic so will always have uses for extra bases and lighting kits.

Very rare with fair price

If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to travel to Sydney Gundam Base pop-up in 2025 and queued extremely early (like the first 40 or so) on the first day, probably you were able to grab one of these. Otherwise, the only alternative I would know of is traveling to Japan and being uber lucky of having it still being sold at Gundam bases. Otherwise, it's a second-hand market, and prices will go up. That said, the price was fair, I think it would be similar price as using a dropship service from Japan, with the exception that it's much faster and way more guaranteed you will get proper merchandise. So, Mecha Express, Cam, thank you so much for your store!
