Bandai MG 1/100 FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam

The Bandai 1/100 Master Grade FA-78-1 Full Armor Gundam is Amuro Ray's heavily armed mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam MSV. This Master Grade release captures the RX-78-2 Gundam equipped with additional armour plating and weapons systems designed for extended combat operations in space. It's the definitive version of the One Year War's most heavily armed Earth Federation mobile suit.

This kit includes approximately 300 parts and features snap-fit construction with no glue required. The Master Grade engineering is designed for intermediate to advanced builders with previous Gunpla experience.

The build centres on the removable armour system that allows display in standard RX-78-2 Gundam mode or fully equipped Full Armor configuration. You get the beam rifle, hyper bazooka, dual beam sabers, shield, dual shoulder cannons, chest cannon, and multiple missile pods. The colour separation delivers the Full Armor Gundam's white, red, blue, and yellow scheme with minimal painting needed. The engineering features a fully articulated inner frame that maintains Master Grade posability even with all armour panels and weapons attached. Assembly Guide

No Cement Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

No Painting Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Mecha series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Mecha kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. Awesome kit, great extras. Only criticism is that the kit comes with a base so you don't need the second one. The kit also doesn't have the ability to take the blue LED bonus so if you don't have another use for it it is wasted. Luckily, I'm a Gundam tragic so will always have uses for extra bases and lighting kits.

Very rare with fair price

If you were one of the lucky ones that were able to travel to Sydney Gundam Base pop-up in 2025 and queued extremely early (like the first 40 or so) on the first day, probably you were able to grab one of these. Otherwise, the only alternative I would know of is traveling to Japan and being uber lucky of having it still being sold at Gundam bases. Otherwise, it's a second-hand market, and prices will go up. That said, the price was fair, I think it would be similar price as using a dropship service from Japan, with the exception that it's much faster and way more guaranteed you will get proper merchandise. So, Mecha Express, Cam, thank you so much for your store!
