Swap loadouts, build the Rubicon merc that's actually yours
In Armored Core VI, the AC you fly on your second mission never looks like the one you flew on your first. Fires of Rubicon runs on the fantasy of pulling one weapon off and bolting on another between jobs, and Weapon Set 03 brings four of those signature loadouts to the 30MM line. It's a snap-fit accessory set, not a stand-alone kit, built to slot straight onto a compatible 30MM Armored Core VI unit.
Good for AC6 fans arming their first 30MM merc and for collectors filling out a full arsenal shelf one weapon set at a time.
Build difficulty
Beginner-friendly. Every part is snap-fit with no cement required, and nothing here needs paint to look right out of the box. The one part worth doing slowly is the SG-027 Zimmerman: it's molded as two halves that clip together into one weapon, so dry-fit before you commit. Budget 20 to 30 minutes total, nippers recommended for clean runner removal.
Technical highlights
All four weapons use the same 3mm connection standard as the rest of the 30MM Armored Core VI line, so they mount straight onto any compatible AC without adapters. Weapons that sit differently on the left or right side come with dedicated parts for each, so neither hand is stuck with a compromised mirrored part. The BO-044 Huxley is the standout engineering piece in the set: it builds in both a stowed and a fully deployed, unfolded state, so it can sit flush against the frame or pop out for a dynamic pose.
What makes this kit special
-
Four named weapons in one set: the HG-003 Coquillett, SG-027 Zimmerman, BO-044 Huxley, and BML-G3/P04ACT-01, all pulled directly from Fires of Rubicon.
-
Deployable Huxley: the only weapon in the set that changes silhouette entirely between its stowed and deployed states.
-
True left/right parts: asymmetric weapons get separate left and right components instead of one part mirrored badly.
-
Universal 30MM mount: the same 3mm connection standard as the rest of the line, so it isn't locked to a single AC body.
-
Zero paint needed: molded in the right colours for an out-of-box finish, with plastic that still takes paint well if you want to push further.
What's in the box
- HG-003 Coquillett: one set
- SG-027 Zimmerman: one set (two halves, clips together)
- BO-044 Huxley: one set, with optional deployed-state parts
- BML-G3/P04ACT-01: one set
Compatible kits
Weapon Set 03 shares the same 3mm connection standard as the rest of the 30MM Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon line, so it mounts to the Bandai 30MM Armored Core VI RaD CC-2000 Orbiter and any other compatible AC unit in the series. Building out a full arsenal? It pairs naturally with Weapon Set 04 and the Aquebus ADD VE-40A, both currently in stock at Mecha Express.
No display base is included with the set. For posing the BO-044 Huxley in its deployed state, pair it with the Bandai Action Base 2, the standard 1/144 display stand.

What to watch for
The SG-027 Zimmerman is molded as two halves that clip together into the finished weapon. Dry-fit the halves before committing so the seam lines up cleanly. Beyond that, this is a small-parts set: the usual care around losing a clip or a hand part off the runner applies more than any structural build issue.
Builder tip: sort all four weapons onto a tray before starting so left and right variant parts don't get mixed up mid-build.
Build notes
No cement or paint required, though the plastic takes paint well if you want to match a specific in-game loadout exactly. A hobby knife and nippers are the only tools you need. Realistic build time is 20 to 30 minutes. Recommended for ages 15 and up.
